Sunday, April 3rd:

11:00 AM FUN PLUS/INT-H-1-36 Miles-N. Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at Twin Lakes Park, 300 West 70th (just west of Broadway). Ride east along Clear Creek and then north along The South Platte River to Veterans Park in Brighton. Then return the same way.


Monday, April 4th:

10:00AM FUN-H1-19-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail). We will ride east on the Bear Creek Trail to the South Platte Trail taking it south to Nixon’s Coffee at Hudson Gardens for a break. We will return via the same route. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.

10:00 AM Leisure H2-20-SW Meet Lin Hark (303-507-3502) at the Littleton Golf and Tennis Club, 5800 S Federal Blvd (FKA “the Bubble”) for a ride through Littleton and Englewood. This ride is partly on streets, bike paths, and has some gravel and ups and downs. Bring a sack lunch to enjoy near the bike path after the ride.


Wednesday, April 6th: (MOVED TO FRIDAY APRIL 8th)

11:00 FUN PLUS H-2-20 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, and up the dam. We will ride the paved part of the dam, then return via C-470 and the South Platte Trail. 11:00 FUN Join Patty Gaspar 303-618-5069 for the same ride at a slower pace if it is a nice day.

We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, and up the dam. 11AM MTB South: Jennifer S. Enjoy a ride up Waterton Canyon to the dam or Lenny's Bench. Let's meet at 11AM at the Audubon parking lot. Afterwards we can enjoy a lot lunch, bring chair and food and I will bring dessert.


Sat April 9th

11:00AM FUN-H2-22-SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) at Cook Rec Center, 7100 Cherry Creek South Drive, between Monaco and Quebec. Park in the west corner, bring a chair and snack for after ride. We will travel south and west on various streets, looping our way to and through Wash Park then north to catch Cherry Creek bike path back to the start.


Sun April 10th

MTB T2, P2, approx. 14 miles, Highlands Ranch Backcountry Trails. Meet Steve Thomas (303-419-2531) at 11:00am on Sunday, April 10 to explore the numerous trail options available at the far south end of Highlands Ranch, including a portion of the Douglas County East-West Trail. All of the trails are smooth single track with no rocky areas, just lots of twists and turns and a few short climbs. We will meet at Pronghorn Park in Highlands Ranch. Go south on Broadway to Wildcat Reserve Pkwy. Go right on Wildcat Reserve and take the first left, Wethersfield Way. Go south on Wethersfield a short distance to Pronghorn Park, which will be on the right. Bring a snack to share after the ride.


Mon April 11th

10:00AM FUN-H1-26-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Twin Lakes Park (west of Broadway on 70th, 300 W. 70th) for a ride east on the Clear Creek Trail to the South Platte Trail, which we will ride to Riverdale Park. After a break we will return via the same route. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.


Tues April 12th

10:00 AM LEISURE H1/H2-16-SE Centennial Trails. Meet Jill McMahon (303 888-0314 cell) in the Homestead Farm II neighborhood pool parking lot across the street from 7676 S Krameria Street, Centennial. (This is south and east of Dry Creek and Holly. This is NOT my address.) This will be a leisurely ride to warm up for the season for those (who like me) have not ridden much this winter. We will ride through the Willow Spring open space, the Centennial Link Trail and the Highline Canal Trail to the Goodson Rec Center and back. For those interested, lunch will follow at a nearby restaurant. Bring a snack for the ride.


Weds April 13th

MOVED TO MAY 4th:

10:00 AM FUN-H2/H3-25 SW Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) behind the McDonald’s at Sheridan and Dartmouth. We’ll head to the Tech Center on various trails. We must climb some hills and there are sections on the Highline Canal (pea gravel), and then we’ll have our morning latte COMPLEMENTS OF DBTC then loop back to Bear Valley. It is a beautiful ride, and we have a wonderful downhill back to Bear Valley.



GOOD Fri April 15th

“Bunny Hop” Almost-Easter ride! 10:00AM FUN-H2-17-NW Meet Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510) at Crown Hill Park (26th & Garland). Hop on our bikes to enjoy an early spring loop ride on bike paths and bike-friendly streets. Before returning to our startpoint, we’ll stop to nibble on some DBTC/leader-provided Easter tweets--er, treats--and partake in a complimentary DBTC beverage. Wear your floppy ears and cottontails and practice your bunny-nose wriggling! Register via text to leader by Thursday, April 14. Limit 10 rider-rabbits.

10:00 AM FUN-H2to3-25 SW Meet Patty Gaspar 303-618-5069 at Broken Tee Golf Course 2101 W Oxford Ave, Englewood to ride the Platte River Trail to Chatfield, over the dam then east on C-470 Trail for a mostly gentle climb then across on Clarkson with fun rollers followed a great downhill to Big Dry Creek to finish the loop. Picnic lunch afterwards.


Sun April 17th

9:30 AM FUN-H2-20-NW MAJESTIC PREMIERE EASTER RIDE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the Majestic View Park north parking lot (north on Wadsworth to W 72nd Ave, west on 72nd, just west of Carr on the south side. THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. not 71st ST!) This recently enhanced ride will go west on Ridge Road and van Bibber Creek Trail, north on the new Blunn Trail and then return on most of the length of Ralston Creek Trail. The theme of this ride is a “Easter Hello to Spring” so a surprise to ring in the 2021 biking season will be provided to all participants during the Ralston Creek Golf Course break!


Monday, April 18th:

10:00AM FUN-H2-23-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Reynolds Landing parking lot (6745 S. Santa Fe Dr) for a ride south on the South Platte Trail to Chatfield State Park where we will ride to the marina via trails and road. After a break we will return via the same route. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.


Tuesday, April 19

10:00AM FUN-H2-17-NW-+742’ Meet ride leader, Marilyn Choske (text to REGISTER by April 18 - 303-905-8510), at Wheat Ridge Rec Center in Wheat Ridge, 41st & Kipling., far north end parking lot nearest Kipling Street. Ride west on Clear Creek Trail (CCT) to Golden, connect to Tucker Gulch west to Hwy 93, south on bikepath to Washington St with Starbucks stop for beverage/snack -- bring $$. Loop back to CCT and east to WR Rec Center. Some short hill climbs. Early-season ride = comfy 9-13 mph pace. Text ride leader if you’re coming. Ride will not go if rainy or forecast is for rain in morning; call leader if in doubt.


Wednesday, April 20th:

NEW RIDE:

10:00 AM FUN-H2/3 (1400 gain)-20 SW Meet Janet Martel at the Stone House 2900 S Estes. We will head west on the bike path then climb Dinosaur Ridge and then up to the Trading Post at Red Rocks. I am a slow climber so there is no rush to the top. This is the first really warm day of the season so bring plenty of water. This is a beautiful but challenging ride that has not been done for the FUN riders for a couple of years. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39083297

10:30AM FUN-PLUS/INT-H2-25 -NW Meet Peter Woulfe(540-219-6674) at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center in Wheat Ridge, 41st & Kipling., far north end parking lot nearest Kipling Street. We will ride west on Clear Creek Trail to McIntyre, then 64th around the reservoir to the Blunn and Van Bibber Trails, then a few streets to Easley and back to the Clear Creek Trail for our return.


Wednesday, April 20th thru Friday, April 22th:

Pueblo MTB Getaway–Jeff Baysinger

April 20 12:00 PM First, join for a noon lunch at the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center, 5200 Nature Center Road, Pueblo, CO. Bring your own sack lunch and beverage. Note that this is the new name for the bird rehabilitation center along the Arkansas River. Same place we have met before. Picnic tables are available at the patio along the river. At 1:00 PM, start an out and back ride west along the river. Rides today are fully along a concrete path. Keep an eye out for the numerous ospreys and occasional bald eagles seen in the area. Ride as far west into Pueblo Lake State Park as desired, then return about 3:30 PM for a small post ride happy hour.

April 21 9:30 AM Explore the numerous trails in Pueblo State Park today. Meet at the trailhead inside the park on the south side. This trailhead is between the marina area and the Arkansas Valley Point campground. Either use your annual pass or a daily park fee is required. Ride levels are green or blue, depending on your personal choice. At least one group will first explore the Outer Limits. And intended lunch meetup will be at Pedro’s Point. After lunch, continue to the Inner Limits, perhaps Deadwood, and Stonehenge trails.

April 22 9:00 AM Explore the South Canon trails at Canon City today. First, at 9:00 AM, meet for a carpool to Canon City from the Quality Inn Hotel, 77 South Radnor Drive, Pueblo West, CO 81007. A trail head is at the west end of town. Once again, there are a wide variety of trails to explore. Start exploring the trails about 10:00 AM there. Trails range from green to black. Post ride celebration 12:30 PM at our favorite pizza restaurant in Canon City, only a few minutes from the trail head. Return home in the afternoon.

Friday, April 22nd:

10:00 AM LEISURE-H2-16-NW. B-180+ Spring Warmup Ride. Always wanted to ride the Boulder 360 but not quite ready for it? Let’s ride the B-180! Meet Marcy Rodney (720 985-3403) at the East Boulder Community Center, 5660 Sioux Dr. We will go north along the South Boulder Creek Trail, head back south by UCAR all the way to the town of Marshall, where we will pick up some gravel trail. Route may be modified due to weather and trail conditions. Approximately 16 miles total. Please RSVP to Marcy as this ride is limited to 6 people.


Saturday, April 23rd:

10:00 AM FUN-H2-18/23-NW- Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE SPACE, TIME, 9/11 RIDE or THE HIDDEN GEMS OF BROOMFIELD! This adventure begins near the SE corner of Sheridan and 120th at the new Whole Foods in Westminster (1/2 mile east of Sheridan at Vrain and 120th.) (4451 Main Street 303-439-7000) We will take secret trails around Broomfield where we will experience three incredible hidden displays including THE SOLAR SYSTEM, a brief history of GEOLOGIC COLORADO TIME, and a 9/11 MONUMENT. (This ride has an escape option at the 18 mile marker for riders who run out of time and/or steam.) Possible lunch afterwards at Whole Foods. This adventure has received rave reviews with 4 and a half stars from the ride critics!

10:00AM FUN-H2-25-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride west on the Clear Creek Trail to Easley Rd, which we will take to the Ralston Creek Trail. We will then ride the entire length of the Ralston Creek Trail returning via the Clear Creek Trail and back to the park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.


Tuesday, April 26:

10:00 AM FUN-H2-23-NW-+725’ Join Marilyn Choske (text - 303-905-8510), at Crown Hill Park (26th & Garland). We’ll head south, east, north, and west, back to our start. Trails are Weir, Sanderson, Platte, and bike-friendly streets. Stop at Dunkin’ at Sloans Lake for a beverage & donut (bring $). Comfy 10-14 mph pace. 10:00 AM FUN-H2to3-25 SW Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at the Sheridan Library Parking lot west of Federal and Oxford. We’ll head toward the rebuilt Bow Mar area and go to Bowles Lake, Grant Ranch to Wadsworth and back to Sheridan High School. We’ll ride some hills and lots of ups and downs, some beautiful quiet streets and pleasant bike paths. We will enjoy an extended break on the patio at Whole Foods - those with a time crunch can head straight back - then meander back to the library.


Saturday, April 30th:

SPRING KICKOFF AT CLEMENT PARK, LITTLETON, CO, WITH A ROLLING RIOT OF KICK-OFF RIDES!

9:35 FUN PLUS H-2-26 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at Clement Park. We will ride some quiet streets in the Columbine neighborhood to South Platte Canyon Rd., to Chatfield State Park, up the dam, and around the reservoir clockwise (about a mile of gravel) to the C-470 trail, to Garrison St., onto a few quiet, winding streets, to the Dutch Creek Trail, and return to Clement Park.

9:40 AM LEISURE H2–14-SW Meet Dave Noble (home 303-694-2008, cell 303-906-3163) at the picnic for a ride through Columbine, Bow Mar, and Grant Ranch. Please arrive early to get your bike out and sign in, etc so we can start at 9:40.

9:45 AM LEISURE H1/H2 16-SW Meet Jill McMahon (303 888-0314 cell) at Clement Park for a ride around the lake to the Lilley Gulch Trail. We will connect up with the Dutch Creek Trail, ride through Columbine and take a short break at either Littleton Golf and Tennis Club or Reynolds Landing. We will return by a similar route via Christensen Lane and back to Clement Park for a lunch provided by the Club. Bring a snack. Please arrive early to get your bike out and sign in, etc so we can start at 9:45.

9:50 AM FUN-H2-21-SW-960’ PICNIC PICKER-UPPER! Join Marilyn Choske (text to REGISTER-303/905-8510) in Clement Park parking lot nearest DBTC shelter access. (Look for my red Kia Sportage w/ski & bike racks.) Let’s use that breakfast caffeine and burn some sugars by pedaling a counterclockwise loop north on residential streets to Bear Creek Trail, then west up and over Kumpfmiller Road in Bear Creek Park. Weave our way south and east (no stop at Mt. Carbon this ride) thru neighborhoods and return to Clement Park for a well-deserved lunch and social time! Some trails, some sidewalks, some bike-friendly streets. Not a race, 10-14mph pace. Be sure to TEXT ride leader by April 29; limit 10 riders. No ride if it’s rainy.

10:15 AM FUN H2 17.2 Miles SW DBTC Kickoff FUN ride. Meet Tom C. for this 17.2 miles with about 200' of gentle climbing total. Ride is on designated bicycle paths, bicycle lanes, and a few miles on suburban streets. Ride leaves the Clement Park picnic site at 10:15 am. Return about 12:30 pm in time for the 1 pm picnic lunch. Route will be from Clement park east to Platte River Dr.; south to C-470 frontage road; east to Platte River trail; rest stop at Carson Nature Center with bathrooms, water, and bike repair stand; north on Platte River trail to Federal and Berry; and back to Clement park via Bowmar.
