March 2025 DBTC Ride Schedule 


MONDAY MARCH 10

11:00 FUN PLUS H-2-29 miles SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course
(2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, then up the dam over to the
marina. After a break we will return the same way.


THURSDAY MARCH 13

11 AM FUN+ 27 miles H2 ~1500 gain. Meet Diane Short inside the RTD parking garage at 6th Ave. and Johnson Rd. Golden (at the 'Taj'). Ride through Golden and Arvada neighborhood streets and some bike paths to bypass the Arvada Reservoir and head into the neighborhoods to the north. Back via Easley Rd. Golden and the 6th Ave. bike path. Water and rest stop in Arvada (64th and Quaker). Leader not on Meet UP. 303-271-9642 (land)


MONDAY MARCH 17 St. Patty's Day

11:00 AM FUN PLUS H-2-25 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at Clement Park. Meet behind the library near the skateboard park. We will exit the rear of the park work our way to Coal Mine,C-470 trail exiting at Ken Caryl through the neighborhood to South Valley Dr., South Platte Canyon Rd. to Chatfield. Returning on the Columbine Trail and neighborhood streets.


Thursday, March 20

11:00 AM FUN-H1-18miles SW NEW RIDE LEADER Welcome Simone Caruthers (720-636-2884) as a new ride leader. Meet at the Stone House ((Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail) for a warmup ride to Nixon's where we’ll have a snack then head back.

11:00 am Fun Plus 17 miles 500 foot gain, ATB 50% and 50% paved. Meet Lauren Delle (970-903-8409) at the Waterton Canyon Parking area. Let's celebrate the first official day of spring with a ride together! This ride is best for gravel bikes as we will ride a combination of gravel and paved paths around Chatfield Reservoir, gravel is similar to High Line. Ride will not go if temps are below 45 and/or if gravel paths are muddy. Ride limit of 8 including leader, text ride leader to join. 


Tuesday, March 25

NEW RIDE

11:00AM FUN-PLUS-H2-21 Miles -NW Meet Peter Woulfe(540-219-6674) at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center in Wheat Ridge, 41st & Kipling., far north end parking lot nearest Kipling Street. We will ride west on Clear Creek Trail to McIntyre, then on to the Ralston Creek, Blunn, and Van Bibber Trails, a few streets to Easley and then back to the Clear Creek Trail and return.

Start Time: 11:00 AM. Please arrive early and be ready to leave on time. Please dress for the weather and bring a snack , water, pump or inflator, extra tube or patch kit. We should average 12 to 15 MPH.


Wednesday, March 26

10:00 AM FUN-H1-24 SW Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) behind the McDonald’s at Sheridan and Dartmouth for a warmup ride down to REI. We’ll take a break sunning ourselves on the deck and then head back to Bear Valley. We might stop for pizza at Giuseppe’s to celebrate the start of the season. This is weather permitting so watch MeetUp or check with leader if in doubt.


Thursday, March 27

NEW RIDE

10:30 FUN PLUS H-2-20 Miles SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, and up the dam. We will ride the paved part of the dam, then return via C-470 and the South Platte Trail.


Friday, March 28

NEW RIDE

11:00 AM

MTB P2, T1, Backcountry Trails (gravel and mountain)

THE RIDE:

Meet Steve Thomas to explore the numerous trail options in the far south end of Highlands

Ranch including a portion of the Douglas County East-West Trail. The trails are smooth singletrack with

lots of twists and turns and a few short climbs. Total distance is about 14 miles.

BIKES:  Gravel or mountain; manual or ebikes

THE TIME: 11:00 AM

Meet at Pronghorn Park parking lot at 11:00 AM.

THE DIRECTIONS:

Go south on Broadway to Wildcat Reserve Pkwy. Go right (west) on Wildcat Reserve

and take the first left onto Wethersfield Way. Go south on Wethersfield a short distance to Pronghorn

Park, on the right side of the street.

THE FOOD:

Bring snacks, drinks and chairs for after the ride at the park.
