April 2021 DBTC Ride Schedule 


Friday, April 2nd:

10:00AM FUN-H2-21-NW - Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT CHRISTMAS DISPLAY RIDE...APRIL FOOLS (close enough)!!! My first ride of the season will be the same as the last ride of last season...almost!! Don’t bring (or wear) your Christmas cheer and tidings of good joy as we enjoy this BRAND NEW RIDE not culminated by an outdoor, socially-distant Christmas Party and Christmas display viewing in my front yard!  This new ride will take us around the trails of Rock Creek, Interlocken and Broomfield highlighted by the new bike overpass between Interlocken and Broomfield leading to never before seen trails!!!  We will not meet at my house at the strategically-selected time so that we can finish up there as the sun begins to set. We will not then put our bikes away and not enjoy some Christmas wassail as we do not watch my four time award winning Christmas display come to life!!! We will meet at the Safeway parking lot (east end) at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior. Rock Creek village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027.)  MERRY CHRISTMAS…HO HO HO


Saturday, April 3rd:

"Bunny Hop" Easter ride! 10:00AM FUN-H2-17-NW  Meet Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510) at Crown Hill Park (26th & Garland).  Hop on our bikes to enjoy an early spring loop ride on bike paths and bike-friendly streets.  Before returning to our startpoint, we’ll stop to nibble on some leader-provided Easter tweets--er, treats--and partake in a complimentary DBTC beverage.  Wear your floppy ears, cottontails, and your DBTC jerseys--this ride will include a newspaper guy who is writing an article about DBTC.  Be on your best ‘garden-variety’ behavior!  You can wriggle your rabbit nose behind your face mask on group stops.  


Sunday, April 4th:

9:30 AM FUN-H2-20-NW MAJESTIC PREMIERE EASTER RIDE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the Majestic View Park north parking lot (north on Wadsworth to W 72nd Ave, west on 72nd, just west of Carr on the south side. THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. nor 71st ST!) This recently enhanced ride will go west on Ridge Road and van Bibber Creek Trail, north on the new Blunn Trail and then return on most of the length of Ralston Creek Trail. The theme of this ride is a “Hello to spring” so a surprise to ring in the 2021 biking season will be provided to all participants during the Ralston Creek Golf Course break!

Monday, April 5th:

10:00AM FUN-H2-20-NW  Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Crown Hill Park (26th & Garrison) for a ride northeast through Wheat Ridge neighborhoods to the Clear Creek Trail where we will ride west to Golden.  After a break at Parfet Park, we will ride east back via 32nd and 26th avenues.  Bring a sack lunch for a picnic in the park afterwards.

11:00AM, MTB, P2.5, T2, Marshall Mesa - Dirty Bismarck Loop.  Meet at the trail head at the southeast corner of Hwy 93/170 (Marshall Road) intersection. Park in the main trail head parking lot ($5 fee required) or in the dirt lot on north side of Marshall Road. The Dirty Bismark Loop about 15.7 miles with 940 ft vertical. Wednesday, April 7th: 

10:00 FUN PLUS H-2 28 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) cell at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, up the dam over to the marina then return. Bring a lunch there is a shelter. 


Thursday, April 8th:

10:00 AM LEISURE-H2-16-SW.  B-180+ Spring Warmup Ride.  Always wanted to ride the Boulder 360 (circling Boulder) but not quite ready for it?  Let's ride the B-180! Meet Marcy Rodney (720 985-3403)at the East Boulder Community Center,5660 Sioux Dr. We will go north along the South Boulder Creek Trail, head back south by UCAR all the way to the town of Marshall, where we will pick up some gravel trail.  Route may be modified due to weather and trail conditions.  Approximately 16 miles total.  Please RSVP to Marcy as this ride is limited to 6 people.

Saturday,  April 10th 

10:00 AM FUN-H2-21 SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) at Cook Rec Center, South Cherry Creek Drive between Monaco and Quebec. Park in the west corner, bring a chair and lunch for after ride. We will travel south and west on various streets, looping our way to and through Wash Park then north to catch Cherry Creek bike path back to the start.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-23-NW - Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) THE HIDDEN GEMS OF LOUISVILLE (Elevation Gain = 1250 feet.) This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this somewhat new tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). Rock Creek village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027.)


Monday, April 12th:

10:00AM FUN-H2-19-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along Bear Creek Trail).  We will ride east on the Bear Creek Trail to the South Platte Trail where we will ride to Hudson Gardens for a break.  We will return via the same route.  Bring a sack lunch for a picnic in the park afterwards.

ANOTHER SNOW DAY RESCHEDULED TO MAY 26TH: 

10:00 AM FUN/INT-H2to3-20-SW Meet Patty Gaspar at the Sheridan Public Library Parking lot 3425 W Oxford Ave. We’ll check out all the new houses in the Bow Mar area and go to Bowles Lake, Grant Ranch and rest at Whole Foods, and back to Sheridan Library.  Some hills and lots of ups and downs, some beautiful quiet streets and pleasant bike paths. 


Thursday, April 15th:

RESCHEDULED TO MAY 6TH

10:00 FUNPLUS/INT-H-1-36 Miles-N. Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) cell at Twin Lakes Park, 300 West 70th (just west of Broadway). Ride east along Clear Creek and then north along The South Platte River to Veterans Park in Brighton. Then return the same way. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic in the park afterwards.

10:00 AM LEISURE-H1-15-SE. April 15 No Longer Tax Day Ride. Meet Suzanne Gruba and Richard Gieseler (303 722-1475) in the public part of the parking lot of Broadway Market Place just north of Sam's Club which is at 505 S. Broadway, Denver. (Make sure you park in the area marked for public parking.)  We will go north on the Platte with a lunch stop at a funky authentic restaurant where they don't speak much English and then return.   Approximately 15 miles total. 


Friday, April 16

RESCHEDULED TO MAY 6TH

10:00 AM FUN-H2-17-NW-+742' Meet ride leader, Marilyn Choske (text-303-905-8510), at Wheat Ridge Rec Center in Wheat Ridge, 41st & Kipling., far north end parking lot nearest Kipling Street.  Ride west on Clear Creek Trail (CCT) to Golden, connect to Tucker Gulch west to Hwy 93, south on bikepath to Washington St with Starbucks stop for beverage/snack, compliments of DBTC.  Loop back to CCT and east to WR Rec Center.  Some short hill climbs.  Early-season ride = comfy 10-14 mph pace.  Text ride leader if you're coming; bring a mask for group stops. Saturday, April 17th:

RESCHEDULED TO MAY 8TH

10:00 AM FUN-H2-25 SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) in the parking lot at Reynolds Landing (take South Santa Fe in Littleton south and turn right on Brewery Lane). This will be a circle trip riding half on road, half on bike path, all paved, starting north on the Platte trail, then east on Little Dry next to Dartmouth heading uphill to Eisenhower Park. Then proceeding south onto Happy Canyon and west onto Quincy, and finally some downhill to Clarkson. From there south to catch Big Dry bike trail west back to the Platte and to Reynolds Landing.  Bring lunch and chair and we’ll gather nearby after ride.


Sunday, April 18th:

9:15 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-NW-(Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT TOTEM POLE RIDE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! Time pushed back to 9:15 because it will only be 39 degrees at 9AM. This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.


Monday, April 19th:

TOO COLD - ride moved to Thursday, April 29th when the sun will be out.

Santa Fe Dr.) for a ride south on the South Platte Trail to Chatfield State Park where we will ride to the marina via trails and road.  After a break we will return via the same route.  Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.


TO BE RESCHEDULED

1:00PM FUN-H1-14-SW  This ride will be the first  ride to prepare for an August Triathlon with  Suzanne Carter which will take place at   Bear Creek Park. The Triathlon will consist of a :14 mile bike ride, 3 mile walk(you can run it if you want),  ½ mile swim. This ride will be on Monday 4/19 At Bear Creek Park. We will meet in front of THE DEN club-house/restaurant in the Parking Lot at Fox Hollow Golf course.( meet where the little golfer statues are and also the  bike rack).  For the ride, we will  head east on Bear Creek Trail.  The ride will be an out and back and will be the route we would take for the Triathlon route. We will then circle up after the ride at the club-house for a beverage and talk about the Triathlon. I have been doing this exact thing for 14 years, it is fun and easy! And then, if you have not done one yet, you can say that you have done a Triathlon. We will do several training rides just like this one over the next few months,  at least one swim and several walks until the date of the Tri! 9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-30 N (774 feet of elevation gain) – THE HIDDEN GEMS OF THORNTON!!! Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this brand new Hidden Gems adventure around Thornton and other nearby areas highlighted by Clear Creek, Platte River (including the infamous Thornton Ponds,) backwards on the Highline Canal, HWY 36 Trail, and Little Dry Creek. To do this loop right we need to go 30 miles but it will be well worth the effort! We will meet at Twin Lakes Park (west of Broadway on 70th Ave). Bring food for a post-ride picnic lunch at beautiful Twin Lakes Park

9:30 AM LEISURE H1–20-SE Meet Dave Noble (home 303-694-2008; cell day of ride only 303-906-3163) at Eisenhower Park in the parking lot near the Rec Center.   We will ride as far as the group would like towards Fairmont Cemetery on the Highline Canal and then return.  Bring a lunch for a picnic afterwards at Eisenhower Park.  (Eisenhower Park is just north of Hampden at Colorado and Dartmouth.)


Saturday, April 24th thru Monday, April 26th: 

Pueblo MTB Weekend:  The annual Spring trip to Pueblo was cancelled last year due to Covid.  Not this year.  Jeff Baysinger has organized three mountain bike rides. First ride starts at the Arkansas River Valley Nature Center.   The second on Sunday is in the Pueblo State Park.  And on Monday we go to the Royal Gorge area west of Canon City.  Go to https://www.meetup.com/Denver-Bicycle-Touring-Club/events/276288234/ to get the details on the rides and where to stay.


Saturday, April 24th:

9:30 AM, FUN-H1/H2-24-E/NE – CENTRAL PARK/COOK PARK LOOP: Meet Helen Berkman (720-355-5687) at Central Park Rec Center, 9651 Martin Luther King Dr. (east parking lot). We’ll ride a loop on the Westerly Park Greenway south, east to Del Mar Pkwy and the Highline Canal, around Cook Park and back up to the Highline through Fairmont Cemetery and Lowry, returning to the start via the Greenway. Optional lunch at Eastbridge Town Center or Stanley Marketplace.


Sunday, April 25th:

10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 +-NE  Each Sunday that the temp is forecast above 50 and the roads and paths are dry  meet DBTC riders at Cake Crumbs Bakery and Coffee shop, located at 2216 Kearney Street, Denver. These rides will be Show N GO. Each Sunday we pick a different route and the distances vary from 20 to 30 miles.

10:00 AM Leisure Ride H1-18-SW  Meet Lin Hark (303-578-9369 c) at Overland Ponds Park (955 W Florida Ave) on the East side of the River, North side of Florida Ave). We will ride the South Platte River Trail north to a Mexican Bakery to warm up with a cup of coffee or a treat. Bring a lock for the coffee stop. Wednesday, April 28th:

Due to construction it will be out and back. Additional parking at the Arapahoe Road trailhead then take the bike path to Kneaders.

9:30-10:30 Coffee Hour (for socializing and greeting friends you may have not seen all year). Coffee, juice, and bagels or donuts. If you’re joining a ride, please be ready with your bike up here at Shelter P so you can enjoy Coffee Hour before your ride! 


10:00-12:30 2-HOUR LEISURE, FUN, FUN PLUS and MTB Rides

10:00 LEISURE-H1/H2 16-SW    Meet Jill McMahon(303 888-0314 cell) at Clement Park in Shelter P for a ride around the lake to the Lilley Gulch  Trail.  We will connect up with the Dutch Creek Trail, ride through Columbine and take the Platte Trail to a short break at Reynolds Landing.  We will return by a similar route via Christensen Lane and back to Clement Park for a lunch provided by the Club.  Bring a snack.

10:00 AM FUN-H2-25-S. CLEMENT PARK LOOPMeet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) in Shelter P. The Clement Park  Loop is west along Lily Gulch Trail out to C-470, then on C-470 Trail  south and east to the Platte River Greenway, returning to Clement Park via the  Columbine Valley neighborhood.

10:30 FUN-H1-17-SW. DUTCH CREEK TRAIL. JoinPatsy Venema (720) 934-3498 for a pleasant ride south and east along the Dutch Creek Trail and Platte Canyon Road and then we will loop back. Mostly paths or low traffic streets. Meet in Shelter P.

10:00 AM PICNIC PICKER-UPPER! FUN PLUS-H2(3)-23.2-SW-1,027'  Join Marilyn Choske (text-303/905-8510) in Clement Park parking lot nearest DBTC shelter access.  Let's use that breakfast caffeine and burn some sugars as we prepare to climb Mt. Carbon, then Kumpfmiller Road in Bear Creek Park.  Ride Bear Creek Trail east to Lowell and weave our way south thru neighborhoods and back to Clement Park for a well-deserved lunch and social time!  Some trails, some sidewalks, some bike-friendly streets. Bring a mask.  10-14mph pace. Be sure to TEXT/register with ride leader by April 30; limit 10 riders.  No ride if it's rainy at 10am but ride may go later if weather clears; call leader if in doubt.

This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this somewhat new tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). This will be a circle trip riding half on road, half on bike path, all paved, starting north on the Platte trail, then east on Little Dry next to Dartmouth heading uphill to Eisenhower Park. Then proceeding south onto Happy Canyon and west onto Quincy, and finally some downhill to Clarkson. From there south to catch Big Dry bike trail west back to the Platte and to Reynolds Landing.  Bring lunch and chair and we’ll gather nearby after ride.

9:15 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-NW-(Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT TOTEM POLE RIDE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! Time pushed back to 9:15 because it will only be 39 degrees at 9AM. This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.

1:00PM FUN-H1-14-SW  This ride will be the first  ride to prepare for an August Triathlon with  Suzanne Carter which will take place at   Bear Creek Park. The Triathlon will consist of a :14 mile bike ride, 3 mile walk(you can run it if you want),  ½ mile swim. This ride will be on Monday 4/19 At Bear Creek Park. We will meet in front of THE DEN club-house/restaurant in the Parking Lot at Fox Hollow Golf course.( meet where the little golfer statues are and also the  bike rack).  For the ride, we will  head east on Bear Creek Trail.  The ride will be an out and back and will be the route we would take for the Triathlon route. We will then circle up after the ride at the club-house for a beverage and talk about the Triathlon. I have been doing this exact thing for 14 years, it is fun and easy! And then, if you have not done one yet, you can say that you have done a Triathlon. We will do several training rides just like this one over the next few months,  at least one swim and several walks until the date of the Tri! THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. nor 71st ST!) This recently enhanced ride will go west on Ridge Road and van Bibber Creek Trail, north on the new Blunn Trail and then return on most of the length of Ralston Creek Trail. The theme of this ride is a “Hello to spring” so a surprise to ring in the 2021 biking season will be provided to all participants during the Ralston Creek Golf Course break!

This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this somewhat new tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). 10:00 AM FUN-H2-25 SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) in the parking lot at Reynolds Landing (take South Santa Fe in Littleton south and turn right on Brewery Lane). This will be a circle trip riding half on road, half on bike path, all paved, starting north on the Platte trail, then east on Little Dry next to Dartmouth heading uphill to Eisenhower Park. Then proceeding south onto Happy Canyon and west onto Quincy, and finally some downhill to Clarkson. From there south to catch Big Dry bike trail west back to the Platte and to Reynolds Landing.  Bring lunch and chair and we’ll gather nearby after ride.

9:15 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-NW-(Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT TOTEM POLE RIDE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! Time pushed back to 9:15 because it will only be 39 degrees at 9AM. This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.

1:00PM FUN-H1-14-SW  This ride will be the first  ride to prepare for an August Triathlon with  Suzanne Carter which will take place at   Bear Creek Park. The Triathlon will consist of a :14 mile bike ride, 3 mile walk(you can run it if you want),  ½ mile swim. This ride will be on Monday 4/19 At Bear Creek Park. We will meet in front of THE DEN club-house/restaurant in the Parking Lot at Fox Hollow Golf course.( meet where the little golfer statues are and also the  bike rack).  For the ride, we will  head east on Bear Creek Trail.  The ride will be an out and back and will be the route we would take for the Triathlon route. We will then circle up after the ride at the club-house for a beverage and talk about the Triathlon. I have been doing this exact thing for 14 years, it is fun and easy! And then, if you have not done one yet, you can say that you have done a Triathlon. We will do several training rides just like this one over the next few months,  at least one swim and several walks until the date of the Tri! THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. nor 71st ST!) This recently enhanced ride will go west on Ridge Road and van Bibber Creek Trail, north on the new Blunn Trail and then return on most of the length of Ralston Creek Trail. The theme of this ride is a “Hello to spring” so a surprise to ring in the 2021 biking season will be provided to all participants during the Ralston Creek Golf Course break!

11:00AM, MTB, P2.5, T2, Marshall Mesa - Dirty Bismarck Loop.  Meet at the trail head at the southeast corner of Hwy 93/170 (Marshall Road) intersection. Park in the main trail head parking lot ($5 fee required) or in the dirt lot on north side of Marshall Road. The Dirty Bismark Loop about 15.7 miles with 940 ft vertical. 10:00 AM FUN-H2-25 SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) in the parking lot at Reynolds Landing (take South Santa Fe in Littleton south and turn right on Brewery Lane). This will be a circle trip riding half on road, half on bike path, all paved, starting north on the Platte trail, then east on Little Dry next to Dartmouth heading uphill to Eisenhower Park. Then proceeding south onto Happy Canyon and west onto Quincy, and finally some downhill to Clarkson. From there south to catch Big Dry bike trail west back to the Platte and to Reynolds Landing.  Bring lunch and chair and we’ll gather nearby after ride.


Sunday, April 18th:

9:15 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-NW-(Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT TOTEM POLE RIDE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! Time pushed back to 9:15 because it will only be 39 degrees at 9AM. This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.

10:00AM FUN-H2-23-SW  Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Reynolds Landing parking lot (6745 S. Santa Fe Dr.) for a ride south on the South Platte Trail to Chatfield State Park where we will ride to the marina via trails and road.  After a break we will return via the same route.  Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.

1:00PM FUN-H1-14-SW  This ride will be the first  ride to prepare for an August Triathlon with  Suzanne Carter which will take place at   Bear Creek Park. The Triathlon will consist of a :14 mile bike ride, 3 mile walk(you can run it if you want),  ½ mile swim. This ride will be on Monday 4/19 At Bear Creek Park. We will meet in front of THE DEN club-house/restaurant in the Parking Lot at Fox Hollow Golf course.( meet where the little golfer statues are and also the  bike rack).  For the ride, we will  head east on Bear Creek Trail.  The ride will be an out and back and will be the route we would take for the Triathlon route. We will then circle up after the ride at the club-house for a beverage and talk about the Triathlon. I have been doing this exact thing for 14 years, it is fun and easy! And then, if you have not done one yet, you can say that you have done a Triathlon. We will do several training rides just like this one over the next few months,  at least one swim and several walks until the date of the Tri! Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this brand new Hidden Gems adventure around Thornton and other nearby areas highlighted by Clear Creek, Platte River (including the infamous Thornton Ponds,) backwards on the Highline Canal, HWY 36 Trail, and Little Dry Creek. To do this loop right we need to go 30 miles but it will be well worth the effort! We will meet at Twin Lakes Park (west of Broadway on 70th Ave). Bring food for a post-ride picnic lunch at beautiful Twin Lakes Park

Pueblo MTB Weekend:  The annual Spring trip to Pueblo was cancelled last year due to Covid.  Not this year.  Jeff Baysinger has organized three mountain bike rides. Saturday, April 24th:

9:30 AM, FUN-H1/H2-24-E/NE – CENTRAL PARK/COOK PARK LOOP: Meet Helen Berkman (720-355-5687) at Central Park Rec Center, 9651 Martin Luther King Dr. (east parking lot). We’ll ride a loop on the Westerly Park Greenway south, east to Del Mar Pkwy and the Highline Canal, around Cook Park and back up to the Highline through Fairmont Cemetery and Lowry, returning to the start via the Greenway. Optional lunch at Eastbridge Town Center or Stanley Marketplace.


Sunday, April 25th:

10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 +-NE  Each Sunday that the temp is forecast above 50 and the roads and paths are dry  meet DBTC riders at Cake Crumbs Bakery and Coffee shop, located at 2216 Kearney Street, Denver. These rides will be Show N GO. Each Sunday we pick a different route and the distances vary from 20 to 30 miles.

We will ride the South Platte River Trail north to a Mexican Bakery to warm up with a cup of coffee or a treat. Bring a lock for the coffee stop. Due to construction it will be out and back. Additional parking at the Arapahoe Road trailhead then take the bike path to Kneaders.

10:00-12:30 2-HOUR LEISURE, FUN, FUN PLUS and MTB Rides

10:00 LEISURE-H1/H2 16-SW    Meet Jill McMahon(303 888-0314 cell) at Clement Park in Shelter P for a ride around the lake to the Lilley Gulch  Trail.  We will connect up with the Dutch Creek Trail, ride through Columbine and take the Platte Trail to a short break at Reynolds Landing.  We will return by a similar route via Christensen Lane and back to Clement Park for a lunch provided by the Club.  Bring a snack.

10:00 AM FUN-H2-25-S. CLEMENT PARK LOOPMeet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) in Shelter P. The Clement Park  Loop is west along Lily Gulch Trail out to C-470, then on C-470 Trail  south and east to the Platte River Greenway, returning to Clement Park via the  Columbine Valley neighborhood.

10:30 FUN-H1-17-SW. DUTCH CREEK TRAIL. JoinPatsy Venema (720) 934-3498 for a pleasant ride south and east along the Dutch Creek Trail and Platte Canyon Road and then we will loop back. Mostly paths or low traffic streets. Meet in Shelter P.

FUN PLUS-H2(3)-23.2-SW-1,027'  Join Marilyn Choske (text-303/905-8510) in Clement Park parking lot nearest DBTC shelter access.  Let's use that breakfast caffeine and burn some sugars as we prepare to climb Mt. Carbon, then Kumpfmiller Road in Bear Creek Park.  Ride Bear Creek Trail east to Lowell and weave our way south thru neighborhoods and back to Clement Park for a well-deserved lunch and social time!  Some trails, some sidewalks, some bike-friendly streets. Bring a mask.  10-14mph pace. Be sure to TEXT/register with ride leader by April 30; limit 10 riders.  No ride if it's rainy at 10am but ride may go later if weather clears; call leader if in doubt.

10:00 AM MTB, P2, T2, South Valley Park – Show’nGo. Meet at the South Valley North Trailhead for a ride on the trails of South Valley Park and the South Hogback Open Space.  Please use Meetup to RSVP.  Info about the park can be found athttps://www.jeffco.us/1431/South-Valley-Park.  THE DIRECTIONS:  From the interchange of C-470 and Ken Caryl Ave., go west one-third mile to the first traffic
