THIS RIDE IS CANCELLED

11:00 AM INTERMEDIATE H2 NW 36 miles 15+- pace. Meet Peter Rudy (720-588-3666) for another spirited ride. This time, from Riverdale Regional Park / Riverdale Park Playground, down the South Platte to REI/Confluence Park, Campground Road, Brighton and Return. No climbing. Slight uphill to REI, and downhill on the return.

PRIOR SIGN UP FOR THIS INTERMEDIATE ROAD RIDE IS REQUIRED ON MEETUP*.*

RIDE IS LIMITED TO 15.

WHO IS THIS RIDE FOR: This is a spirited intermediate ride. Focus on consistent pace for Road and Gravel analog and e-bikes. It is not a race. But it is not a laid back, leisure ride. Limited stops. This section of the S Platte River trail going north is beautiful and quiet, but its DAMN HOT in the summer. Should be perfect with the predicted 66 degrees. We see eagles in their nests, in the Summer on this route.

BUT: This ride is not for commuter, upright, cruiser, cargo or mountain e-bikes. You should be comfortable (your butt and legs) with doing a 25-30 mile ride. The first half is a slight uphill and the going back is mostly downhill.

TURNAROUND: REI Confluence Park. Bathrooms. I am told there is a Coffee Truck to replace the closed Starbucks.

Bring water for the ride - not sure of any water enroute. Almost all, if not all, trail water is turned off - remember, its the freaking middle of winter! Bring nibbles for our stop.

Last Note: this is an out and back. If someone wants to stop midway, we can catch you on the turnaround.

AFTER THE RIDE: Join me as I will be going to the Riverdale Dunes GC restaurant (next door) after the ride -- as my lovely wife is playing golf there and not riding with her husband. Told great views and great food.

We will be going around both sides of CC reservoir, including one of my favorite areas - called the Parker Road Trail, on the far east and inside CC State Park. Dead gorgeous. Amazing views of the entire front range.

WHO IS THIS RIDE FOR: This is an intermediate ride for maintaining core ride strength. Focus will be on maintaining your riding strength during the winter. We aim, as before, for a consistent pace for Road and Gravel analog and e-bikes. It is not a race. But it is not a laid back, social or leisure ride. Limited stops.

BUT: This ride is not for commuter, upright, cruiser, cargo or mountain bikes, either analog or e-bikes. You should be comfortable (your butt and legs) with doing a spirited 25+ mile ride. The first half is a slight uphill and return is mostly downhill.

Bring water for the ride (especially Patti!)- the only water enroute will be at the Rec Center. All trail water is turned off. Bring nibbles to refuel at our stop.
