Oct 2026 DBTC Ride Schedule
Friday, October 2nd:
10:00 AM FUN-H1 25 miles NE Twin Lakes to Riverdale Veterans Memorial Meet Fred Tarbell (630-888-5290) at 300 West 70th Ave (1/8 mi West of Broadway and 70th). Bike East on Clear Creek to junction of Platte River Trail. Turn North on Platte River trail toward Riverdale Regional Park area. We will exit off Platte River trail to the entrance of the Adams County Veterans Memorial. We will take our break for restrooms and snacks while we view and explore the architectural design of the Veterans Memorial. We will return by the same route to Twin Lakes. Bring lunch items or snacks if you stay to visit after the ride.
Sunday, October 4th:
8:00 AM Intermediate H3-NW-31-+1933’ elevation gain. Crown Hill Park to Red Rocks and Golden Meet Donald (720-785-0616) at Crown Hill Park (26th and Garland St). The pace will be Intermediate with regrouping to keep everyone together. Please gather at the restroom to meet your ride guide. Rain or wet roads will cancel. Call or text me with questions. Monday, October 5th:
10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-20 miles-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride north on Garrison to Olde Town Arvada where we will connect to the Ralston Creek Trail. We will ride west on the trail to the west end of the Westwoods Golf Course for a break. After the break, we will ride Virgil Way north to 72nd Ave. We will then ride 72nd east to Simms and the Ralston Creek Trail, taking it east to Garrison and back to the park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Tuesday, October 6th:
MOVED HERE FROM WEDS SEPT 30th 9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H2/3-30 - 36 miles-SE, 1100 feet of gain Chatfield Reservoir State Park to Sedalia Meet Diane Short on the shoulder parking area at Deer Creek Canyon Road on the west side of Wadsworth. We will ride through Chatfield to quiet neighborhood roads in Sterling ranch. Waterton Rd to Sedalia and back through Louviers. Bakery in Sedalia for coffee, snacks, restrooms. Wednesday, October 7th:
10:00 AM FUN-H2-25 miles-S. CLEMENT PARK LOOP with a Twist Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) in the West parking lot behind the library. The Clement Park Loop is west along Lily Gulch Trail out to C-470. Some climbing then cruise down on C-470 Trail and cut over and finish our sail down Deer Creek Road. A quick bump over the dam and then catch Mary Carter Greenway, returning to Clement Park via the Columbine Valley neighborhood. Bring a picnic lunch for after.
Thursday, October 8th:
10:00 AM FUN-H3-22-NW (Elevation Gain = 1173 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) THE HIDDEN GEMS OF LOUISVILLE!!! This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you under the trees at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). Rock Creek village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO 80027).
Friday, October 9th;
9:00 AM INT-H4-39 miles -2160’ Meet Lauren Delle (970-903-8409) at Summit County Middle School Parking lot. We will start the ride in Frisco on the Summit County bike path around Lake Dillon, through Keystone and up to the town of Montezuma. We will retrace our steps to return. This is a climbing at elevation ride so it is important to have some climbing conditioning, and also important to bring appropriate layers. E-bikes welcome. Bring sack lunch to eat in the local Frisco park post-ride Directions: I70 West Frisco Exit 203, take a roundabout exit that leads south onto the bridge crossing I-70. Continue south on Summit Blvd (Hwy 9) to the stoplight intersection of School Rd and CR 1040. Turn left onto School Rd. Bring lunch for a picnic in a local park after the ride. The ride will not go if storms are predicted.
Sunday, October 11th;
10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-21 NW (1541 ft of elevation gain) – HIDDEN GEMS OF GOLDEN JUGGLING RIDE!!! Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this Hidden Gems adventure around beautiful Golden as we celebrate Labor Day Weekend. We will meet at Clear Creek Parking Lot at the NE corner of 10th and Archer (304 10th St, Golden, CO 80401) in Golden and ride the Golden Circle, Peaks to Plains and beyond to Heritage Park and other unexplored areas including, I promise you, a rose garden. Riders will be rewarded for their climbing around Golden with a high altitude juggling act at Heritage Dells Park before the descent begins.
Monday, October 12th:
10:30 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 miles-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride west on the Clear Creek Trail to the Peak to Plains Trail, which we take to the CCR Trailhead. After a break at the trailhead, we will return via the same route. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Wednesday, October 14th:
10:00 AM FUN-H3/4-20 miles-SW Red Rocks Loop Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at the Stone House (Yale and Estes) Ride the smooth, shaded Bear Creek Trail to Fox Hollow Golf Course, over the dam, then along C-470 to climb through Dinosaur Ridge, then climb up to the Trading Post in Red Rocks and fly down to Morrison and a mellow (except for Morrison Road) return home on the Bear Creek Trail. Bring a picnic to celebrate our accomplishments.
Friday, October 16th:
10:00 AM FUN-H3-24 miles NW (Elevation Gain = 800/1100 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for the award winning Tour De Boulder ride that may include a free JUGGLING presentation if the audience demands it. The ride will concentrate on the Boulder Creek, Skunk Creek and Bear Creek paths that are pretty flat but we will take Boulder Creek a little ways up into the foothills before we turn around (Those who do not wish to may wait at the park). The adventure begins at the parking lot near the jungle gym rocket at Scott Carpenter Park in Boulder at the SW corner of 30th St. and Arapahoe Avenue. Be there or be trapizoidal!
Saturday, October 17th:
10:00 AM FUN-H3-24-NW (Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT TOTEM POLE RIDE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! Actually, the totem poles are gone now but...This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.
Monday, October 19th:
10:30 AM FUN PLUS-H2-22 miles-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Reynolds Landing (6745 S. Santa Fe Dr) for a ride south on the South Platte Trail to Chatfield State Park, where we will ride to the marina via the road. After a break, we will return via the same route. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Wednesday, October 21st:
10:00 AM FUN-H2/H3-25 miles SW End of the Year Latte Ride Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) behind the McDonald’s at Sheridan and Dartmouth. My old commute - we’ll head to the Tech Center on various trails. We must climb some hills and there are sections on the Highline Canal (pea gravel), and then we’ll have our morning latte COMPLEMENTS OF DBTC and loop back to Bear Valley. It is a beautiful ride, and we get to have a wonderful downhill back to Bear Valley. We may have to modify the return to avoid Cherry Hills’ ban on e-bikes.
Friday, October 23rd:
10:00 AM LEISURE-H2-23-NW (Elevation Gain = 998) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE HIDDEN GEMS OF ARVADA - HALLOWEEN EDITION. We have all experienced the traditional Arvada classic trails of Ralston Creek, Clear Creek, and Van Bibber. Check out this new route instead that explores Lake Arbor, the Pomona Lakes, the Arvada Fire Fighter’s Park, the backside of baseball, and other forgotten areas and is guaranteed to be an adventure! Meet at the SE corner of HWY 36 and 104th at the back side of the new HotPot, formally Black Bear Diner, formally Quaker State and Lube Restaurant (10392 Reed St., Westminster, CO) by a hidden entrance to a hidden trail where the adventure will begin (and end).
Saturday, October 24th:
10:00 AM FUN – H1 – 20 miles - Downtown Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this Incredible FREE BEVERAGE FAREWELL to Summer Adventure. We will meet at the City of Cuernavaca Park downtown (Exit at 20th Ave going east away from the mountains. Turn right over the bridge onto Little Raven, then turn right onto 19th Street, then right onto Platte River which becomes Rockmont Drive, and go until you dead end into the parking lot at the large bike statue) for this fantastic ride down the Cherry Creek Bike Path to the 4 Mile Historic House and beyond. A beverage of your choice will be provided to all riders on the return voyage at the REI Coffee Truck before we head back to the cars.
Monday, October 26th:
11:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-20 miles-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford in Englewood). We will ride south on the South Platte Trail taking the road over the Chatfield Dam. At the top, we will have a break and ride the paved trail on top of the dam before riding to the C470 trail on the other side and back to the start via the South Platte Trail. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Wednesday, October 28th:
10:00 AM FUN-H3-20 miles-SW – Amazing Maze Ride Meet Jeff Messerschmidt (303-904-0573, leave message) at the Stone House, 2900 S. Estes, Lakewood, and cycle up Estes then west through Lakewood and take our break in Morrison, then south and east through unincorporated South JEFFCO.
Thursday, October 29th:
10:00 AM LEISURE-H2-22 miles-NW (Elevation Gain = 1060 feet) - THE HALLOWEEN DISPLAY and REALLY RADICAL RAT RACE RODENT RIDE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this ride that takes us around the trails of Rock Creek (IT STARTS OUT WITH A LOOK AT MY OWN HALLOWEEN DISPLAY!!!), Interlocken and Broomfield highlighted by the new bike overpass between Interlocken and Broomfield leading to rarely seen trails!!! Come find out how this ride got its name. Meet at the SE corner of the Safeway parking lot, under the trees at the Rock Creek Village Shopping Center in Superior. Rock Creek Village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027).
Saturday, October 31st:
10:00 AM FUN-H2-22-NW Extra Scary Halloween Graveyard Ride The ride will be extra scary this year as Halloween falls on the exact day of this tour of old Arvada graveyards. Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the Majestic View Park north parking lot (north on Wadsworth to W 72nd Ave, west on 72nd, just west of Carr on the south side. THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. or 71st ST!) for this tour of three old Arvada graveyards. Costumes are welcome but not required. There may be a ghoulish lunch afterwards for those who survive this haunting experience!
