Wednesday, November 1st:

MOVED HERE FROM MONDAY DUE TO WEATHER (TIME CHANGED TO NOON)

12:00PM FUN PLUS-H2-23-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Reynolds Landing parking lot (6745 S. Santa Fe Dr) for a Day of the Dead Ride (wear those costumes, if you wish).  We will ride on the South Platte Trail to Chatfield State Park where we will ride to the marina via the road.  After a break, we will return via the same route.  This ride replaces the cancelled ride on Halloween Eve due to weather.


Friday, November 3rd:

THIS RIDE WAS MOVED TO HERE DUE TO THE DETERIORATING WEATHER (TIME CHANGED TO NOON):

12PM (was 10:00 AM) FUN-H2-22-NW Scary Halloween Graveyard Ride, meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the Majestic View Park north parking lot (north on Wadsworth to W 72nd Ave, west on 72nd, just west of Carr on the south side. THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. or 71st ST!) for this tour of three old Towne Arvada graveyards.  Costumes are welcome but not required. There will be no ghoulish lunch afterwards for those who survive this haunting experience!


Saturday, November 4th:

Volunteer Recognition Dinner 6 PM Celebrating the Season and Rocking to Oldies Music


Monday, November 6th:

11:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride west on the Clear Creek Trail to Tabor St, which we will take north through the Skyline Estates neighborhood in Arvada.  We will ride to the Ralston Creek Trail which we will take east to the Clear Creek Trail, exiting in Wheat Ridge and riding to Sloans Lake.  After a break, we will ride around the lake and return to the start via Wheat Ridge neighborhoods.

Note the time change to 11:00, which is the same (per the sun) as noon this week before we go to Standard Time on Sunday.


Tuesday, November 7th:

10:30 AM FUN-H1-28 mi NE Twin Lakes to Riverdale Veterans Memorial Meet Fred Tarbell at 300 West 70th Ave, (1/8 mi West of Broadway and 70th) Bike East on Clear Creek to junction of Platte River Trail. Turn North on Platte River trail toward Riverdale Regional Park area. We will exit off Platte River trail to the entrance of the Adams County Veterans Memorial. We will take our break for restrooms and snacks while we view and explore the architectural design of the Veterans Memorial. We will return by the same route to Twin Lakes. Bring lunch items or snacks if you stay to visit after the ride.


Monday, November 13th:

11:00 AM FUN PLUS-H1-19-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail). We will ride east on the Bear Creek Trail to the South Platte Trail taking it south to Nixon’s Coffee (they should be open since it is going to be warm). After a break, we will return via the same route. Bring a lunch for a picnic afterwards.


Wednesday, November 15th:

11:00 AM FUN-H2-21-NW Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE TRIPLE LOOP HIDDEN ARVADA GEMS 2.0. Experience this brand spanking new exciting ride that takes us from a central point out to three separate loops that are about 7 miles each. You can do one, two, or all three of these fabulous loops. Loop 1 goes west by Rose Roots Community Garden to the Village of Five Parks. Loop 2 goes north by Oakhurst Parks 1 and 2 to Standley Lake. Loop 3 goes south by the Lakecrest Cluster and Clubcrest Parks to beautiful Majestic View Park. Meet at the center of the three loops at the Standley Lake Library parking lot at 8485 Kipling Street in Arvada where the action begins!


Thursday, November 16th:

11:00 am FUN H1- 24mi NE Sand Creek and Northfield Loop Meet Fred Tarbell (630-888-5290) at Twin Lakes Park. 226-328, 70th Ave (West of 53 and 224 intersection) Ride East on Clear Creek trail to South Platte trail junction. South over bridge to Denver to the Sand Creek trail junction. Follow Sand Creek to the Sand Creek Greenway and do a big loop in an open urban park.  A mid ride stop at Starbucks for bathroom and refreshment before continuing to the North Field Mall and another urban park loop. Return on Sand Creek to Twin Lakes for recovery, socializing, and lunch that you brought.


Friday, November 17th:

11:00 AM FUN PLUS-H1-22-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Prospect Park (44th & Robb) for a ride on the Clear Creek Trail to Twin Lakes.  After a break, we will return via the same route.  Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.


Saturday, November 18th:

11:00 FUN PLUS/INT H-2-15 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte, up Dartmouth Ave. to Dahlia St. to Quincy St. to Clarkson to Big Dry Creek then return on the South Platte. Bring your lunch to socialize after the ride.


Wednesday, November 22nd:


11:00 AM FUN PLUS H-2-20 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at Clement Park. Meet behind the library near the skateboard park. We will ride some quiet streets in the Columbine neighborhood to South Platte Canyon Rd., then to the C-470 trail, to Coal Mine Ave., to the Dutch Creek Trail, and return to Clement Park. Bring your lunch to socialize after the ride.



Wednesday, November 29th:


11:00 FUN PLUS H-2-20 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, and up the dam. We will ride the paved part of the dam, then return via C-470 and the South Platte Trail.



Wednesday, December 6th:

10:00 AM Fun Plus 28 miles -**Meet Diane Short in the RTD parking garage at Johnson and 6th Ave (the Taj) at 10:00 ready to ride at 10:15. Head north through Golden to Arvada and the neighborhoods north of the Arvada Res, (not going into the Res). Loop back on Easley Road and the 6th Ave. bike path. Call to confirm 303-271-9642 to confirm (landline). 4 riders to have it be a 'go'.


11:00 AM Fun Ride H2+-25 SE Meet Lin Hark (303-507-3502 at McCabe Meadows Trailhead near Parker. We will ride south on the Cherry Creek Trail all the way to Homestead Trailhead in Castlewood Canyon near Franktown. The last section goes uphill fairly steep to the trailhead inside Castlewood Canyon State Park - very pretty. Bring snacks and a lunch to enjoy at the turn around. Dress in layers.

Thursday, December 7th:

LEISURE H-19-NW. Meet Jake Jacobi (720-808-2306) at Twin Lakes Park, near Broadway and 70th Ave. at 10am. We will ride east on Clear Creek, and North along the Platte River to Valente Lake at 104th and return.
