Monday, September 1st: Labor Day
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-25-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Crown Hill Park (26th & Garrison) for a ride south to Alameda (riding the frontage road) and then west to Morrison via Rooney Rd. After a break, we will ride east via Morrison Rd and the Bear Creek Trail to the Stone House, returning north on Garrison to Crown Hill Park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Tuesday, September 2nd:
9:00 AM FUN-H3-22-NW (Elevation Gain = 1200 feet) - Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) THE GREAT BLACK HOLE OF LOUISVILLE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF LOUISVILLE!!! This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you under the trees at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). Rock Creek village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027.)
Wednesday, September 3rd:
10:00AM FUN - H2to3-22 SW Tour of BowMar Meet Patty Gaspar(303-618-5069) at the Sheridan Library Parking lot west of Federal and Oxford. We’ll head toward the rebuilt Bow Mar area and go to Bowles Lake, Grant Ranch to Wadsworth and back to Sheridan Library.. We’ll ride some hills and lots of ups and downs, some beautiful quiet streets and pleasant bike paths. Lunch is at Monaghan’s Bar and Grill 3889 S King St. There used to be a tunnel from there to Fort Logan so the soldiers could sneak out
Thursday, September 4th:
9:00 AM FUN H1 - 25min NE Rotella Park to Sand Creek and Northfield Loop Meet Fred Tarbell (630-888-5290) at Rotella Park, 1824 Coronado Pkwy N. Denver (East end at shelter one) We will connect to the Niver Creek bike path and ride East to South Platte trail junction. South on Platte bike path to left over Clear Creek bridge to Denver. Follow Platte bike path South to the Sand Creek trail junction on left. Follow Sand Creek trail to the Sand Creek Greenway and do a big loop around urban Central Park. At 13 miles a midride stop at Starbucks for bathroom and refreshment. After our break we continue along Central Park Blvd to the North Field Mall. We extend our ride by another loop around urban Prairie Basin and Meadow Basin Parks. Return on Sand Creek to Twin Lakes for recovery, socializing, and lunch that you brought. Bring money for your Starbucks break.

10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-30-W Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the ballpark in Idaho Springs for a ride to Georgetown. We will take the trail through Idaho Springs and ride the service road to Georgetown with an ice cream break (bring $$) before returning to Idaho Springs. DIRECTIONS: Take exit 241 off I-70 and take first right at the roundabout. Follow the road over I-70 and just past the green sign turn right (county road 314). Take a right at the stop sign and continue to the ballpark. Park on the north side of the park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.

9:00 AM FUN-H2-25-NW (Elevation gain= 998') Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE HIDDEN GEMS OF ARVADA. We have all experienced the traditional Arvada classic trails of Ralston Creek, Clear Creek, and Van Bibber. Check out this new route instead that explores Lake Arbor, the Pomona Lakes, the Arvada Fire Fighter’s Park, the backside of baseball, and other forgotten areas and is guaranteed to be an adventure! Meet at the SE corner of HWY 36 and 104th at the back side of the new HotPot, formally Black Bear Diner, formally Quaker State and Lube Restaurant (10392 Reed St., Westminster, CO) by a hidden entrance to a hidden trail where the adventure will begin (and end).
Monday, September 8th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride west up the Clear Creek Trail and then up Tucker Gulch to White Ranch. We will ride through White Ranch to Hwy 93 (wide shoulder) taking it south back to Golden. After a break at Parfet Park, we will ride the Clear Creek Trail back to the start. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.

9 AM LEISURE H1-24 - SE HIGHLINE CANAL ADVENTURE Meet Karen Kelley (303-260-9029) at Eisenhower Rec Center (4300 E Dartmouth Ave Denver). This is the next section of the RIDE THE TOTAL 71 MILES of the HIGHLINE CANAL ADVENTURE. Ride miles #38-26 (bring snacks for break at Goodson Rec Center) and return. Gravel

9:00 FUN PLUS H-2-29 Miles SW Meet Peter Woulfe(540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, then up the dam over to the marina. After a break we will return the same way. Bring your lunch to socialize after the ride.
10:00 AM FUN -H2&3-20SW Ride the Roller Coaster Meet Patty Gaspar 303-618-5069 at Broken Tee Golf Course 2101 W Oxford Ave, Englewood to ride the Platte River Trail to Mineral catch the C470 trail, then a final climb to Clarkson for your reward - fun rollers followed a great downhill to Big Dry Creek to finish the loop. Bring lunch for a picnic.

9:00 AM ATB/H2. Gravel ride the Boulder Reservoir/Open Sky Gravel loop. Gravel bike/tires or MTB needed. 33 miles, elevation 1033’: 80% Gravel 20% Road.Meet Lauren Delle (970-903-8409) in the parking lot of Avery Brewing 4910 Nautilus Court, Boulder, 80310 to embark one of the last days of Summer ride on the Boulder Reservoir/Open Sky Loop. This route has a combination of trails, crushed gravel paths, dirt roads and double track- none of which would be considered technical. We will start and end at Avery Brewing where we can enjoy some good post-ride food. Ride limited to 8 riders including leader, please text Lauren by 5:00 pm Sept 9.
9:00 AM FUN-H1-20 miles NE Rotella Park to Little Dry Creek Meet Fred Tarbell at 226-318 W 70th Ave Denver, 1/8 mile West of Broadway and 224 Ave. Ride West on Clear Creek to Little Dry Creek junction. Follow Little Dry Creek through urban neighborhoods to W 80th Ave. Then connect to Arbor Park Lake for a lake loop ride before returning to W 80th Ave. We will continue West along 80th Ave and Yarrow St to stop at King Scoopers for a bathroom break. Continue West to Little Dry Creek trail passing around Pomona Lake. After a midride break at a small neighborhood park we will return East on Little Dry Creek back to Twin Lakes. Welcome to bring lunch items to stay and visit after the ride.
9:00 AM FUN-H2-18/23-NW- Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE SPACE, TIME, 9/11 RIDE or THE PATRIOT DAY RIDE! This adventure begins near the SE corner of Sheridan and 120th at the new Whole Foods in Westminster (1/2 mile east of Sheridan at Vrain and 120th.) Address is 4451 Main Street. We will take secret trails around Broomfield and Westminster where we will experience three incredible hidden displays including THE SOLAR SYSTEM, a brief history of GEOLOGIC COLORADO TIME, and especially a 9/11 MONUMENT. (This ride has an escape option at the 18 mile marker for riders who run out of time and/or steam.) Possible lunch afterwards at Whole Foods. This adventure has received rave reviews with 4 and a half stars from the ride critics!

We'll pedal a large loop SW, E, and N, climbing W Colfax, Dinosaur, Mt. Carbon, and smaller hills east and north to the Platte. Bring $ for lunch stop at Brooklyn's near Mile High. After lunch with group consensus, we'll either ride Lakewood Gulch back to Garrison OR we'll hop on, with our bikes, the air-conditioned W-Line light rail and disembark at Garrison station. 9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-NW-(Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) – Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.

After a break, we will ride the entire length of the Ralston Creek Trail connecting to the Clear Creek Trail west back to the park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.

8:45 AM ADVANCED-H4-44-+2930’ elev gain MEET 08:30 AM, ROLL 08:45 AM. “LOOP the LAKE & PEDAL the PASS with Ice Cream!” REGISTER BY TEXT (303-905-8510) to leader by Monday, September 15, 5PM. Meet Marilyn Choske at the Ten Mile Creek TH parking lot (SE corner of I-70 & W Main St, Frisco). I-70 Exit 201, Frisco Main St. Restrooms available. The first part of this adventure is a counter clockwise Lake Dillon loop. From TH, ride south on the bike path towards Breckenridge, cross Hwy 9 at Swan Mtn Road and climb via bike lane to summit. Continue on Swan Mountain’s east side on bikepath, pedal to Frisco, and wind our way thru quiet neighborhoods to return. Five-minute stop at trailhead to refuel, replenish water, restroom. Ride at your own pace up to Copper Mountain gas station for a break and a re-group, then thru the resort to the *fun* part of the climb to Vail Pass! After a rest and photo op at the top, return downhill to Frisco for your reward--a FREE ice cream at Foote’s Rest, compliments of your DBTC! Limit 10 riders, including leader. The ride will not go if it is rainy or forecast for morning rain/storms, and the leader can abort the last half of the ride if weather is threatening. Wednesday, September 17th:
9:00 FUN PLUS H-2-23 Miles-SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at Reynolds Landing parking lot (6745 S. Santa Fe Dr). We will ride the South Platte, go up Dartmouth Ave. to Dahlia Street, Happy Canyon proceed to Quincy Ave. on to Clarkson to a trail behind Englewood High School some neighborhood streets and then return on the South Platte. Bring your lunch to socialize after the ride. 10:00 AM FUN-H2-25-S. CLEMENT PARK LOOP with a Twist Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) in the West Parking Lot behind the library. The Clement Park Loop is west along Lily Gulch Trail out to C-470, Some climbing but then cruise down on C-470 Trail and cut over and finish our sail down Deer Creek Road. A quick bump over the dam and then catch Mary Carter Greenway, returning to Clement Park via the Columbine Valley neighborhood. Bring a picnic lunch for after.
Thursday, September 18th:
9:00 AM FUN/LEISURE. H1/H2-18-SE. Duffy Rolls and Poolside Lunch Ride. Meet Janet Kritzer (303 883-2474 cell) for a ride through Cherry Hills, Greenwood Village and beyond. Enjoy Duffy Rolls to start and a gravel trail ride on the Highline Canal Trail to Big Dry Creek to Belleview Park. After riding thru Old Cherry Hills and Woody Hollow Park, we will then wind thru some pretty streets and the Highline to arrive back at 34 Sedgwick. Ride will be 2/3 on packed gravel with some dirt on the trails. Hybrid bike suggested. Meet at Janet Kritzer’s home 34 Sedgwick Drive ( Devonshire Heights) Cherry Hills Village to park and start. After the Ride: Duffy’s Sandwiches served at poolside tables. Members of DBTC only.
9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H2 28miles-NE Rotella Park to Westminster Recreation Center Meet Fred Tarbell (630-888-5290) at Rotella Park, West end by shelter six, 1824 Coronado Pkwy S. Denver. We will use the Niver Creek trail to connect to South Platte River trail. South on Platte River trail to Clear Creek trail. Continue West on Clear Creek to junction, (slight right) of Little Dry Creek trail. Follow Little Dry Creek West to Lowell Blvd intersection. Turn North on Lowell Blvd on sidewalks for about 7 blocks. At Lowell Blvd and 78 Ave junction connect to US 36 Bikeway on the Left. Continue West on US 36 bikeway which includes a RDT crossing at Sheridan and 88th Ave toward Westminster. In Westminster we exit right off US 36 Bikeway under US 36 Turnpike and follow connected trail to the Westminster Rec center. Water and restrooms available inside during our break before we return on the same route. Bring snacks or lunch items if you want to socialize at Rotella Park after the ride.

8:30 AM FUN PLUS-H3-17.7-W-+1350’ elev. “WEST TRIPLE LOOP WITH EYES ON DANISH!” MEET 08:30am REGISTER BY TEXT to leader 303-905-8510 by Thursday, September 18, 5pm. Meet Marilyn Choske at Green Gables Park; enter from Garrison east-side, located between Wisconsin & Florida. Pedal south and west on bike-friendly streets and climb to Dinosaur saddle; descend and climb into Red Rocks Park; descend into Morrison; enter Bear Creek Park and climb Kumpfmiller Road to exit the Park on the east. Then the fun begins: take Morrison Road to Kipling Street and enjoy your final calorie-burning climb! Bring $ to reward yourself with a tasty pastry at Taste of Denmark. Short return to cars. Pace: 7-14mph depending on uphill steeps! No ride if rain or snow!
Saturday, September 20th:
9:30 AM FUN-H2-25-NWNEW & IMPROVED WESTMINSTER CLASSIC. Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for an exciting ride full of unexpected twists, turns, and surprises...and now with BRAND NEW TRAILS. We will meet at the parking lot by the Armed Forces Tribute Garden, WEST of the baseball diamonds in Westminster City Park. (Directions: From US 36 and Church Ranch Blvd/104th Ave. exit, east on 104th about 1/2 mile to the first left after the Westminster Blvd light (just past the Armed Forces Tribute Garden), then go LEFT again into the parking lot. The address for the park is 10455 Sheridan Blvd but note again that we are meeting WEST of the buildings and baseball fields.) This ride takes us through the Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton area, including the Farmer’s Highline Canal, Lee Lateral, and Grange Hall Creek trails.
Monday, September 22nd:
9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H3-21-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail) for a ride west on the Bear Creek Trail to Fox Hollow Golf Course. We will ride up Mt. Carbon and down the other side into Bear Creek Lake Park. We will ride though the park, exiting at Morrison Rd to take Rooney Rd north to Alameda. We will continue to climb up Alameda to Forsberg Iron Spring Park where we will have a break. After the break we will ride down Alameda (on the frontage road) to Garrison and south to the Stone House. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Tuesday, September 23rd:
10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 Frisco (Elevation Gain = 1107’) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for the new ICE CREAM TOUR OF BRECKENRIDGE - LEAF CHANGE EDITION. We will ride the multi-use trail through Frisco and on to beautiful Breckenridge where we will explore the town and stop for a break at the Ice Cream Store of choice (Bring $.) We will then return to Frisco using alternate trails. We will meet at the North Tenmile Creek Parking Lot at the southeast corner of I-70 & Main Street. Drive westbound from Denver on I-70 to Exit 201 and look for DBTC members in the parking lot.
Wednesday, September 24th:
10:00 AM FUN-H2-20 miles SW Twin Tunnel Route Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110) for a ride up Big Dry Creek to the Highline Canal. The canal is hard packed along this beautiful section of the trail that will have you humming Country Roads. I will be on my road bike, but a hybrid works. After a snack along the trail, we will go UNDER Hampden and Colorado Blvd. using the two tunnels then 4 miles of downhill on Dartmouth and back. Picnic lunch after.
Thursday, September 25th:
9:30 AM FUN-H1-28 miles NE Rotella Park to Little Dry Creek Meet Fred Tarbell at 1824 S Coronado Pkwy, Denver, (East end of park at Shelter 1). Ride East on Niver Creek to South Platte trail to junction of Clear Creek. Follow Clear Creek to the junction of Little Dry creek and continue through urban neighborhoods to W 80th Ave. Then connect to Arbor Park Lake for a lake loop ride before returning to W 80th Ave. We will continue West along 80th Ave and Yarrow St to stop at King Scoopers for a bathroom break. After a midride break at a nearby restaurant, we will return East on Little Dry Creek back to Twin Lakes. Welcome to bring lunch items to stay and visit after the ride.

8:00 AM “LOOKOUT/Genesee Park & Coffee/Kinney LOOP” -- Final Challenge! ADVANCED-H4-28-W-+3200’ elev gain MEET 08:00; ROLL 08:15. REGISTER BY TEXT (303-905-8510) to leader by September 25, 5pm. Join Marilyn Choske at the meet place described at end of description. From our Golden meet place, access and pedal up Lookout Mountain Road. From the top, continue over hilly terrain and tour through Mount Vernon. Spill out onto the Genesee area and climb to Genesee Mountain Park; return the same road to Town Center for beverage stop (bring $). Ride Genesee roads to access Hwy 40, then to Apex and Kinney Run Gulch. Roll to start. Limit 8 riders, including leader. The ride will not go if it is rainy or forecast for morning rain. 9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-34-SE 1600’ Elevation Aurora Reservoir - Back by popular demand! Meet Susan Larson (720-207-7300) at Arapahoe Road Trailhead for a ride to and around Aurora Reservoir. This ride has plenty of hills and will be a mix of the Cherry Creek Trail, the High Plains Trail, the Piney Creek Trail, the Aurora Reservoir Trail and residential roads. We’ll make planned breaks on the route at Red-tailed Hawk Park, Aurora Reservoir beach, and Piney Creek Hollow Park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward. The ride is limited to 10 riders. 9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H3-21-NW (1541 ft elevation gain) – HIDDEN GEMS OF GOLDEN RIDE!!! Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this Hidden Gems adventure around beautiful Golden as we celebrate the new autumn and check out the leaves changing. We will meet at Clear Creek Parking Lot at the NE corner of 10th and Archer (304 10th St, Golden, CO 80401) in Golden and ride the Golden Circle and beyond to Heritage Park and other unexplored areas including, I promise you, a rose garden.
Sunday, September 28th:
9:00 AM Fun-H1-26-NE East Denver Trails Loop Meet Mark Fields (302-465-4525) at the northeast corner parking lot of Fred Thomas Park, 26th Avenue and Roslyn Streets, one block east of Quebec for a nearly all-paved big loop around East Denver using several of my favorite trails, including Greenway, Westerly Creek, Sand Creek, S. Platte and Cherry Creek Trails before returning on a few quiet streets back to the park. Bring lunch or snacks for a picnic in the park afterward.
Monday Sept 29th:
10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-25-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Broken Tee Golf Course (west end of parking lot at 2101 W. Oxford in Englewood). We will ride the South Platte Trail north to the Bear Creek Trail, which we will take west over the Bear Creek Dam to Morrison. After a break, we will return via Morrison Rd to Fox Hollow Golf Course, where we will meet up with the Bear Creek Trail and ride back to the start. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Tuesday, September 30th:
9:30 AM FUN H2–20-Downtown Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this ride that culminates at Hudson Gardens for BEVERAGES! We will meet at the City of Cuernavaca Park downtown (Exit at 20th Ave going east away from the mountains. Turn right over the bridge onto Little Raven, then turn right onto 19th Street, then right onto Platte River which becomes Rockmont Drive, and go until you dead end into the parking lot at the large bike statue.) for this fantastic ride down the Platte River Bike Path to the infamous Hudson Gardens and back
